ABOUT CATHERINE

I've always enjoyed working with texts and images, from both editorial and visual perspectives. I graduated with first-class honours in my degree in English Literature and History of Art & Architecture from Trinity College Dublin in 2011, before completing a Foundation Diploma in Graphic Design at Central Saint Martins. In the time since, I have worked on a wide range of illustrated content, including written pieces for online art and design magazine, It's Nice That (www.itsnicethat.com) and exhibition catalogues for the Hayward Gallery. For two years, I  edited and designed art and architectural history books at Yale University Press, which included The Russian Canvas by Rosalind P. Blakesley (recipient of the 2017 Pushkin House Prize, the 2018 Art Newspaper Russia Best Book Prize, and Honorable Mention from the 2017 Heldt Prize Committee for Best Book by a Woman in Slavic/Eastern European/Eurasian Studies), Art and Optics in the Hereford Map by Marcia Kupfer (2017 Historians of British Art Book Prize, pre-1800 subject) and a two-volume documentary biography of Albrecht Dürer by Jeffrey Ashcroft.

I love to present different types of information in a visually engaging way, and am also a keen editor, writer and researcher. Take a look at my work, and do drop me a line at the below address for any book design or editorial/art-related tasks.
